Urgent Fruit Shoot Recall from McDonald’s and Tesco Over Choke Risk

Robinson’s Fruit Shoots are being urgently recalled from McDonald’s, Tesco, and Costco amid fears the spout inside the bottle cap could come off and pose a serious choking hazard, the Food Standards Agency (FSA) warns.

Apple & Blackcurrant Flavour Hit by Recall

Britvic, the owner of Robinson’s, confirmed the recall affects the 200ml apple and blackcurrant Fruit Shoots. This action follows a “small number of reports” of the spouts detaching, potentially causing a safety risk.

Which Bottles Are Affected?

  • Bottles sold in 24-pack multi-packs at Costco
  • Single bottles sold at McDonald’s between June 22 and 28
  • Batch codes: N06 L9171, N05 L9164, N05 L9171
  • Best before date: March 2020

Britvic stresses no other Fruit Shoot products are linked to this safety concern.
