Thieves Use Stolen Digger to Attack Canterbury ATM
Kent police are hunting suspects after brazen thieves targeted an ATM at the Family Shopper store on St. Martins Hill, Canterbury.
Gang Haul Stolen Digger to Hit Cash Machine
The gang stole a large yellow digger from a nearby construction site and drove it down the road to smash the ATM. They then abandoned the vehicle right in the middle of the street.
Luckily, the cash machine was left behind, empty and out of service. A local resident revealed, “There wouldn’t have been much cash in it as the owner empties it every night.”
Armed Police Join the Chase
Armed officers were scrambled to the scene to try and track down the crooks after the dramatic heist attempt.
