Tragedy at Heron Tower: Person Dies After Falling From Height in London
A person has died after a fall near the iconic Heron Tower on Liverpool Street, central London, this Wednesday afternoon.
Emergency Called to Bishopsgate
Police and ambulance crews rushed to Bishopsgate just outside Heron Tower at 2.07pm on March 27, following reports of a person falling from height.
Despite immediate medical attention, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Death Treated as Non-Suspicious
“Officers were called at 2.07pm to reports of a person fallen from height on Bishopsgate in the City of London. Sadly, they were pronounced dead at the scene by London Ambulance Service crews. The next of kin has been informed and officers are providing support. The death is being treated as non-suspicious, and a file will be prepared for the coroner.” – City of London Police spokesperson
The area around Heron Tower was cordoned off for hours during the emergency response. The identity of the deceased has not been released.
