Teen Crushed to Death on Fairground Ride After Break-In
Tragedy struck early Wednesday as emergency services rushed to Pencester Garden Fair shortly after 7:45am. A 19-year-old local male was fatally crushed when a group broke into the fairground and started up a ride.
Fairground Put on Lockdown as Crime Scene Secured
Kent Fire and Rescue’s Technical Rescue team joined police officers at the grim scene. Despite frantic efforts by paramedics and firefighters, the teenager could not be saved. A full crime scene lockdown remains in place.
Public Told to Steer Clear
Kent Police have been contacted for comment but urge the public to avoid the area while investigations continue.
