Hit-and-Run Tragedy in Chatham: Man in 70s Killed
Police are hunting witnesses after a fatal hit-and-run in Chatham last Monday night.
Pedestrian Struck on New Road
At around 10.50pm on 10 August 2020, a local man in his 70s was hit by a car near the junction of New Road and Otway Terrace. The driver fled the scene, heading towards Rochester.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. His family have been informed.
Police Appeal for Dashcam and CCTV Footage
Kent Police’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit is probing the crash. They’re urging anyone who saw the incident or has dashcam or CCTV footage showing the vehicle or pedestrian before the collision to come forward.
