Kent Police Nab Trio in Major Drug Bust After Car Chase

Kent Police smashed a suspected drug ring after seizing around 100 wraps of heroin and crack cocaine. The haul came after a dramatic chase when a package was flung from a car window in Winchelsea, East Sussex.

Drugs Thrown from Car Window During Stop

Officers from the Tactical Operations Command acting on a tip-off stopped two men in a vehicle at 2.30pm on Thursday, June 10, 2021. Witnesses say one of the men hurled a suspicious package from the moving car. The package was found nearby, containing wraps of suspected class A drugs.

Three Arrested in Ashford Following Property Raid

  • A 49-year-old man from Ashford was arrested on possession with intent to supply charges.
  • A 28-year-old man from Cranbrook was also detained on suspicion of drug supply.
  • A raid on an Ashford property uncovered more phones linked to dealing. The 49-year-old faced further charges, and a 52-year-old was arrested too.

Police also seized a mobile phone and a large sum of cash. All three suspects remain in custody as the Chief Constable’s Crime Squad digs deeper into the drug network.
