Speeding car chase ends with £30,000 cash haul and drugs bust in Gravesend
High-Speed Hunt on Milton Road
Just before midnight on Wednesday, 10 May 2023, local police spotted a car racing down Milton Road. Officers gave chase after the vehicle suddenly came to a halt on Edwin Street. A man bolted from the driver’s seat, sparking a foot pursuit that ended on Harmer Street where he was caught.
£20,000 in Cash Found in Shocking Discovery
Police dog handler PD Clay assisted in searching the abandoned car, uncovering a whopping £10,000 stuffed in the centre console. The dog’s keen nose then sniffed out a further £10,000 hidden between a kerb and a nearby vehicle.
Drugs, Cash, and Weapons Seized in Property Raid
A subsequent property search revealed another £10,000 in cash, along with cannabis and a jar of mysterious white tablets. Officers also seized a baseball bat, a hammer, and multiple mobile phones and SIM cards – all evidence in the growing investigation.
Man Arrested Over Drug Supply
The 23-year-old suspect from Gravesend was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of controlled drugs. Police continue to probe the case.
