Man Arrested After Double Murder Shocks Staffordshire
A chilling double murder has rocked Staffordshire on New Year’s Eve. A 68-year-old man from Cheadle is in custody after two women were found dead at a home near Stoke-on-Trent.
Gruesome Scene on Park Lane
Police rushed to a property on Park Lane, Cheadle, at around 3pm following reports of a woman’s body and an injured woman at the scene. Sadly, both women were pronounced dead by 3:50pm.
Staffordshire Police immediately launched a murder investigation. Officers arrested the local man on suspicion of two counts of murder.
Police Seek Vital CCTV and Dashcam Footage
The force is now appealing to the public for help. They want anyone with CCTV, dashcam, or smart doorbell recordings near Park Lane on New Year’s Eve to come forward. “Any footage could be crucial to our investigation,” police said.
“We were called to Park Lane at 3pm after a woman’s body was found and another woman was injured. Both were pronounced dead at around 3:50pm,” a Staffordshire Police spokesperson confirmed.
