Man Chased, Attacked and Robbed at Football Pitch on Isle of Wight
Police are on the hunt after a 22-year-old man was mugged at the County Ground in Shanklin, Isle of Wight, last night.
Victim Chased and Attacked at Green Lane Football Pitch
Shortly after 6:30pm, the victim was pursued by two men at the football pitch on Green Lane. He was assaulted before the attackers made off with a Samsung tablet, a silver men’s bracelet, and his coat.
Victim Not Seriously Injured But Left With Cut Lip
The victim escaped serious harm and is recovering at home. Although one of the attackers was armed with a knife, it was not used to threaten or injure him directly.
Suspects Described as Skinny Young Men Wearing Balaclavas
- Both men aged 18-25 with skinny builds
- First man: at least 6ft tall, long arms, black balaclava, grey hooded top with hood up
- Second man: shorter, navy blue balaclava, dark hooded top with hood up, carrying the knife
