Tragic Death: Man Killed After Being Hit by Bus in Reading

Thames Valley Police are hunting for witnesses after a fatal crash in Reading late last night.

Pedestrian Fatally Struck on Great Knolly’s Street

A 51-year-old local man died at the scene after being hit by a bus at around 11.45pm on October 20. The impact was devastating, and his next of kin have been informed.

The bus driver remained at the scene and escaped injury. No passengers were on board at the time.

Road Closure and Ongoing Investigation

Emergency services closed Great Knolly’s Street until about 4am this morning while they dealt with the crash. Now, Roads Policing officers are probing the collision to uncover exactly what happened.

Police Appeal for Witnesses

“Any witnesses to the collision or anyone who saw the pedestrian or vehicle before the incident is urged to come forward,” said Sergeant Andrew Fordyce of the Joint Operations Unit.
