Murder probe launched after man stabbed to death on Hackney street
Late-night stabbing shocks Mare Street
Police have opened a murder investigation after a man was fatally stabbed on Mare Street, Hackney. The grim discovery was made around 11.07pm on Friday, 5 May, following reports of a stabbing at a residential property.
Heroic emergency response ends in tragedy
Officers rushed to the scene alongside paramedics from the Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance. They found the victim, a man in his late 20s, with serious stab wounds. Despite their best efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Three arrests made as police hunt next of kin
Police have arrested two men, aged in their 40s and 50s, and one woman in her 50s on suspicion of murder. The suspects are currently being questioned at East London police stations. Meanwhile, officers work urgently to identify the victim’s next of kin.
