Manhunt Underway for Coward Who Fled Deadly Hit-and-Run in Dagenham
Detectives have launched a desperate manhunt after a fatal crash in Dagenham, releasing a fresh image of a key suspect they need to track down fast.
Fatal Collision Shocks Dagenham
At around 6.05am on Thursday, 30 April, emergency services rushed to Heathway at the junction with Oxlow Lane following reports of a serious road traffic collision.
The smash involved two vehicles: a white Mercedes C220 Sport and a white Ford B-Max. Tragically, the 57-year-old driver of the Ford died instantly at the scene. His family has been informed.
Hit-and-Run Suspects Flee on Foot
Worse still, the occupants of the Mercedes abandoned their car and fled the scene on foot, turning this tragic accident into a chilling hit-and-run.
Police have since released new images of a man connected to the incident, hoping to identify and trace him as part of their ongoing investigation.
Detectives Plead for Help to Find Suspects
Detective Superintendent Andy Cox, Met’s Road and Transport Policing Command, said: “Identifying and tracing the men pictured in our appeals is a top priority. We urge anyone who recognises these men or knows where they are to contact us immediately.
“Our experienced team is committed to uncovering the full circumstances behind this collision and securing justice for the victim’s grieving family.”
