Man Brutally Bludgeoned to Death in Margate Flat
Kent Police have launched a murder probe after a man was savagely beaten to death in a Margate flat. Emergency crews were called to a new-build property on Sandhurst Place just after 2am on Saturday.
Witness Heard Screams Before Armed Police Arrived
One resident claims she heard chilling screaming before armed police and paramedics arrived on the scene. Specialist crime teams have been combing the Aldi car park and nearby properties, hunting for the weapon.
Suspect Arrested – Victim and Attacker Known to Each Other
A man in his 40s was pronounced dead at the scene. Kent Police confirmed a suspect has been arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in custody. Both victim and suspect were known to each other.
Serious Crime Directorate Leading Investigation
The Kent and Essex Serious Crime Directorate has launched a full investigation. Officers are still at the scene as inquiries continue into the brutal killing.
A Kent Police spokesperson said: “Kent Police was called to a property in Sandhurst Place, Margate at 2am on Saturday 12 October, 2019. Officers and the South East Coast Ambulance Service attended the scene where a man in his 40s was declared deceased.”
