Four Held After Canterbury Stabbing Tragedy
Four men remain in custody following the shocking death of a 23-year-old in Canterbury. The victim was found with stab wounds on High Street near St Margaret’s Street late on Thursday night, 10 October 2024. Despite emergency efforts, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police Launch Murder Investigation
Kent Police swiftly arrested four men in their 20s in connection with the incident. Searches have been carried out at properties on Herne Bay High Street and near Pine Tree Avenue in Canterbury as officers hunt for crucial evidence.
An overnight cordon was set up along Canterbury High Street and St Margaret’s Street. Authorities are now working to reduce the cordoned area to ease disruption for local businesses and residents.

“We understand that this incident and its location will have caused concern in the community,” said Canterbury District Commander Chief Inspector Paul Stoner. “A large team of officers and detectives are working hard to establish the full circumstances.”
He also thanked local businesses and residents for their patience during the investigation and promised efforts to minimise impact on the city centre.
