Police have launched a murder investigation after a man’s body was found at a home on Queens Terrace, Southampton.

Officers arrived shortly before 8:45am following reports of a man in need of medical help. Despite paramedics’ efforts, the 42-year-old Southampton resident was pronounced dead at the scene.
Suspect Arrested, Police Offer Reassurance
A 54-year-old man from Southampton has been arrested on suspicion of murder and is now in custody.
Detective Chief Inspector Ross Toms, leading the inquiry, expressed his sympathies to the victim’s family. He confirmed the individuals involved know each other and assured the public there’s no wider threat to the community.
“We are working hard to piece together exactly what happened in this tragic incident,” Toms said.
