Man Shot Dead on Barking Street in Deadly Dawn Attack
A brutal shooting in Barking has left a man dead in the early hours of Sunday morning. Police were called to Linton Road at around 4:35am on 13 October after reports of an injured man.
Emergency Services Find Victim with Fatal Gunshot Wound
Officers and London Ambulance Service paramedics rushed to the scene. They found a man, believed to be in his 30s, suffering from a gunshot wound. Despite desperate attempts to save him, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Crime Scene Locked Down as Police Hunt Shooter
The victim’s next of kin have been informed. Forensics teams remain on Linton Road, combing the area for clues. No arrests have been made yet as police launch a murder investigation.
“I understand the shock and concern local residents will be feeling following this incident,” said Acting Detective Chief Superintendent Lewis Basford, overseeing policing in East Area including Barking. “A team of experienced detectives are working hard to piece together events and identify those responsible.”
