Murder Probe Launched After Woman Found Dead in Reading

Thames Valley Police have opened a murder investigation following the tragic death of a 30-year-old woman in Calcot, Reading. Officers were called at around 3.30pm on November 4 after the ambulance service discovered the woman with serious head injuries at a property on Windsor Way.

Sadly, she was pronounced dead at the scene. Her next of kin have been informed, and a post-mortem is scheduled for November 5.

Man Arrested Over Woman’s Death

A 32-year-old man from Reading was arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in police custody. A scene watch is in place at the property as detectives continue their inquiries.

Police Appeal For Information

Detective Superintendent Justin Fletcher said: “I understand that people in the community will be very concerned about this incident, but I would like to reassure them that we are carrying out a full investigation and we have made an arrest in connection with the incident.”
