Tragic Death on Walton Bridge Road: Police Hunt Hit-and-Run Driver

A man in his 50s has died after being struck on Walton Bridge Road in Shepperton earlier tonight (19 September).

Pedestrian Dies at Scene

Emergency services were called just before 8pm following reports of a man lying in the road with serious head injuries. Despite efforts, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene. His family have been informed of the devastating news.

Hit-and-Run Suspected

Walton Bridge Road remains closed while police investigate. Sergeant Ben Grilli of Surrey’s Road Policing Unit revealed officers are treating the case as a possible hit-and-run.

“We are investigating the possibility that this was a fail to stop collision. We currently have two people in custody but need any witnesses to come forward,” Sgt Grilli said.
