Man Found Dead on Southampton Park Bench – Police Seek Witnesses

Just after 10.30am this morning, officers were called to Blechynden Terrace in Southampton where they discovered the body of a man on a park bench.

Death Not Being Treated as Suspicious

Detective Sergeant Nicola Smith confirmed the death is not suspicious. She said: “This is a tragic situation where a man has taken his own life.”

“Our priority now is to gather as much information as possible about the man and the events leading up to his death, so we can provide the coroner with a full picture.”

Police Urge Anyone Who Saw the Man to Come Forward

The man was reportedly with a group of males who left the area before his death. Police describe one as having a bright yellow BMX bike and another pushing a trolley.

Detective Smith added: “If you were in the area this morning and saw the man or this group, please get in touch.”
