Terrifying Train Attack: Passenger Punched and Kicked on Upminster Service
At around 5.15pm on Tuesday 15 March, a violent incident unfolded on a train from Fenchurch Street to Upminster. Two men were threatened aggressively by another passenger. Despite trying to avoid him by switching carriages, the attacker relentlessly followed them.
Brutal Assault on the Platform
When the train reached Upminster, the two men jumped off and attempted to board another carriage. The attacker wasn’t done. He yanked one victim back onto the platform, dragged him along, then punched and kicked him in the face.
The victim suffered a broken nose, a cut lip, and bruising in the savage attack. The second man stepped in, dragging the victim back onto the safety of the train as the attacker tried to continue his assault.
Police Urge Witnesses to Come Forward
