Fake Water Board Swindler Targets Elderly in Salisbury
Police are hunting a crafty crook after a distraction burglary in Salisbury on March 24. At around 2.45pm, a man in a blue BUPA jacket knocked on the door of an elderly couple’s home in Nursery Road, claiming to be from the water board dealing with a leak.
While the couple was distracted by the imposter, a second thief sneaked inside and made off with purses and a tin of cash.
Suspect Description and Appeal
- Man wore a blue BUPA jacket, dark trousers
- Had dark hair
Police urge anyone who saw this man or has info about the robbery to get in touch. Quote crime ref: 54220030775 when calling 101.
