A mysterious incident unfolded on the A46 northbound yesterday afternoon, sparking a police manhunt. A white or silver car was spotted in a layby just south of the Owthorpe turning at around 3.15pm, involving a man and a woman, both described as white.
Police Link Incident to Woman in Distress
Officers suspect the event may be connected to two reports of a distressed woman seen between 4.30pm and 5.30pm on Stoke Ferry Lane, Shelford. Nottinghamshire Police are taking the case seriously and working round the clock to find answers.
Urgent Appeal for Witnesses and Dashcam Footage
“These are clearly very concerning reports and we are urgently investigating what happened,” said Detective Inspector Simon Harrison.
“We have been tracking vehicles overnight and now need the public’s help. If you were driving on the A46 at 3.15pm and saw a white or silver car parked in the layby, please come forward.”
