Young Men Attacked Near Farnborough North Train Station

One victim was stabbed in the upper arm, but the injury isn’t life-threatening. The violent attack happened between 6.15pm and 7.15pm on Friday, October 30, as a group of young people left Farnborough North Train Station.

Masked Gang Launches Brutal Assault

Two of the victims, aged 19 and 20, were walking ahead near the junction of Ship Lane and Highgate Lane when six to eight men dressed in dark clothing and face coverings approached them. The gang punched both victims in the face and stole a Gucci body warmer and a black baseball cap from one of them.

A third friend, 20, tried to intervene but was punched, kicked, and knocked to the ground. Only after the attack did he realise he had suffered a puncture wound to his upper arm. Two victims needed hospital treatment.

Police Launch Investigation into Linked Attacks

Officers suspect this assault is tied to other recent robberies and serious attacks on young people in the Fleet and Farnborough areas. All reports describe groups of five to eight young men targeting victims, assaulting them, and demanding valuables.

Three suspects have now been arrested: a 19-year-old man from Basingstoke, a 15-year-old boy from Farnborough, and a 20-year-old man from Aldershot. All have been released under investigation as inquiries continue.
