Tragedy on Bedonwell Road: 62-Year-Old Driver Killed in Hit-and-Run Crash

Deadly Smash Rocks Bexleyheath

Police rushed to Bedonwell Road, Bexleyheath, around 7.20pm on Saturday, 12 November, after a serious collision. A red Citroën C1, driven by a 62-year-old man, was involved. Despite emergency crews’ best efforts, the man was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities have informed his family.

Hit-and-Run Suspect Flees Scene

A silver Mercedes also took part in the crash but sped off without stopping. However, officers quickly tracked down the vehicle shortly after the incident.

Man Arrested Over Fatal Crash

On Sunday, 13 November, police arrested a 36-year-old man. He faces charges of causing death by dangerous driving, driving uninsured, and failing to stop after a collision. The suspect remains in custody as the Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) based in Catford digs deeper.
