Police Raid ‘Chop Shop’ at Retford Business Park
Police swooped on West Carr Business Park in Retford at 11.35pm on 19 March after reports of a vehicle dismantling operation.
Officers found multiple transit vans and vehicle parts being stripped for scrap. Three men, aged 24, 31, and 37, were arrested on suspicion of motor vehicle theft. They remain in custody as investigations continue.
Evidence Seized and Police Investigate
Investigators seized several mobile phones and are examining the vehicles at the scene. CCTV footage is under review, and locals should expect a heightened police presence.
Sergeant Urges Public to Speak Up
“Officers on patrol last night did a great job locating this suspected ‘chop shop’ where stolen vehicles were being stripped for parts,” said Sergeant Rachel Dowsett of Nottinghamshire Police.
“Car theft impacts people deeply. We work with other forces to track stolen vehicles and disrupt these criminals who profit from illegal activity.
“If you know of places where stolen cars are handled or dismantled, please contact us. We are still investigating and need your help.”
