Weapons Raid in Sneinton: Two Arrested

Nottinghamshire Police swooped on a shared home in St Stephen’s Road, Sneinton, this morning, uncovering a stash of illegal weapons in a bedroom. The raid happened at around 11am on 29 March after officers executed a search warrant.

Couple Held Over Prohibited Weapons

A 47-year-old woman and a 51-year-old man found inside the property were arrested for possession of prohibited weapons. The pair now face serious questions as the investigation unfolds.

Chief Inspector Praises Public and Police Efforts

Chief Inspector Paul Hennessy said, “This was a proactive intelligence-based warrant, and I’m pleased we have arrested two suspects.”

“It’s always good news when we can take weapons off the streets and destroy them. Our force is working relentlessly to crack down on weapon-enabled crime and reduce their availability in communities.”

“We treat all reports of weapons possession with the utmost severity and will do everything possible to keep people safe.
