Six Arrested After Man, 25, Dies in Brighton Street Attack
Tragic Incident on Whitehawk Road
Police swooped after a 25-year-old man suffered serious injuries in a brutal attack on Whitehawk Road, Brighton, just after 2.30pm on Sunday, April 5. He was rushed to Royal Sussex County Hospital but tragically died later that day.
Four Men and Two Women in Custody
- Four men, aged 21, 25, 26, and 41, have been arrested on suspicion of murder.
- Two women, aged 21 and 38, are held on suspicion of assisting an offender.
All six are local to Brighton and remain in custody as detectives dig deeper.
Police Appeal for Witnesses and Calm
Detective Chief Inspector Alex Geldart said: “Our thoughts are with the victim and his family at this very difficult time.”
“This is a fast-moving investigation. Please avoid speculation online. If you saw anything, come forward.”
Chief Inspector Dee Wells added: “We believe this is an isolated incident, but expect a strong police presence in the area. Thanks to locals for their patience.”
“Officers are available to speak with anyone with concerns, following social distancing rules.”
