Tragic Crash Claims Life of 78-Year-Old Archie Livingstone
Heartbreak in Harthill as Archie Livingstone, 78, dies at the scene of a car crash on Harthill Road.
Deadly Collision Involving Three Cars
The fatal smash happened around 9.40am on Monday, 21 February 2022. A red Vauxhall Combo, a blue Mazda 3 and a white Citroen Berlingo were involved in the horrific collision. Sadly, Archie was pronounced dead on the spot.
The Citroen’s driver was rushed to the Royal Infirmary as a precautionary measure.
Family Speak Out
Archie’s family released a moving statement via Police Scotland:
“Our beloved Archie will be sadly missed by his family and friends. We would like to thank everyone who stopped to help at the scene, as well as the police, ambulance crew, and emergency services. Please respect our privacy during this difficult time.”
Police Appeal for Witnesses
Sergeant Kosmas Papakyriakou from Dunbar Road Policing Unit said:
“Our thoughts are with Archie’s loved ones at this tragic time. Enquiries are ongoing, and anyone with information is urged to get in touch with police on 101 quoting incident number 0745 of 21 February 2022.”
