Terrifying Night Attack on Castle Boulevard – Police Hunt Man Seen in CCTV
Woman Attacked While Walking Home
A 21-year-old woman was followed and sexually assaulted just after 2am on Saturday, 4 March, near Cornerstone Church on Castle Boulevard. The victim, out from a night out, noticed the man stalking her before he struck from behind.
Victim Fights Back, Attacker Flees
Showing bravery, the woman fought off her attacker, who then fled towards Castle Marina. Police say the assault was a “terrifying experience” and they are determined to catch the culprit.
Police Release Suspect Image
Officers have now released a photo of a man they want to trace in connection with the attack. PC Chris Cutts urged anyone who recognises the man or who might be him to get in touch immediately.
“This would have been a terrifying experience for the victim, and we are determined to find the person responsible,” said PC Cutts. “If you know the man in the picture, please come forward.”
