Egg and Stone Attack Spree Rocks Chippenham Streets

Chaos hit Chippenham last night as gangs hurled eggs and stones at cars between 6pm and 8.30pm on 21st February. Drivers who dared to stop and confront the troublemakers were met with violence, according to police.

Multiple Locations Targeted

The attacks struck across Ladyfield Road, Hungerdown Lane, and Queen’s Crescent. Sergeant Rich Marshall from the Chippenham Area Community Policing Team described the scenes as “frightening”.

“People had their cars pelted with eggs and stones, and when they tried to confront the group, they were assaulted. Thankfully nobody was seriously injured, but it could have been much worse.”
