16-Year-Old Arrested in Brighton
Police swooped on Church Road at 11.20am last Thursday after urgent calls from concerned locals. A 16-year-old lad from Portslade was caught red-handed, suspected of carrying a knife in public. He’s now released under investigation as officers dig deeper.
Operation Safety Strikes Again
The arrest was made by Brighton and Hove’s Neighbourhood Policing Team, working hard under Operation Safety. This Sussex Police initiative cracks down on knife crime through tough enforcement and community education.
Police Praise Public for Quick Reaction
