Man Stabbed in Shocking Hammersmith Attack
A violent stabbing unfolded at around 8.10pm on Saturday, 1 August, at the grim junction of Wolverton Gardens and Hammersmith Road.
Bizarre Car Chase and Violent Confrontation
The 30-year-old victim arrived in a car with two other men, believed to be suspects. He switched vehicles, stepping into a different car parked just opposite on a side road. One of the suspects followed him inside. What happened next turned ugly fast.
An argument erupted, and the first suspect was shoved out of the second car. The victim then drove off, scattering a large haul of cash onto the road. The vehicle reversed aggressively towards the pushed suspect, who dodged just in time.
Stabbing and Escape Down Wrong Way
The car eventually stopped, and the victim exited. The second suspect hopped out of the first car, and together the two suspects lunged at the victim. The man was stabbed multiple times in a brutal attack.
The assailants bolted back to their vehicle parked on Wolverton Gardens, speeding off the wrong way down the one-way street.
Police Hunt Two Suspects
The victim managed to walk himself into hospital and was discharged after treatment.
Central West Command Unit detectives have released images of two men they urgently need to speak to.
Detective Constable Emily Martin said: “The images may not be the clearest, but someone witnessed this shocking attack. The victim was incredibly lucky not to be more seriously hurt. Please contact us immediately if you recognise the two men.”
