Taxi Driver Held Up at Knifepoint in Milton Keynes Early Morning Robbery
Masked Mugger Strikes Taxi Driver in Conniburrow
Police are hunting a thief who mugged a taxi driver in Milton Keynes in the small hours of Friday morning.
The attack happened between 5am and 5:30am at the end of Stonecrop Place, Conniburrow, close to The Redway.
The victim, a 47-year-old man, was put in a headlock while the attacker pressed an unknown weapon against the back of his neck. The mugger forced him to hand over all the cash before making off towards Mallow Gate along The Redway.
Suspect Description Released
The getaway vehicle was a grey Ford Tourneo. Luckily, the driver escaped without physical injury.
The suspect is described as an Asian man in his 40s with a large belly and proportionate build. He stands around 5ft 7ins tall with a long face, balding head, and no facial hair. At the time, he wore a white chequered short-sleeved shirt and dark blue denim jeans.
Police Urge Witnesses to Come Forward
“This was a frightening incident for the victim, who was just doing his job,” said PC Jo Hudson from Milton Keynes police station. “Thankfully, he was not hurt, but the offender stole a quantity of cash. We want to hear from anyone who was nearby and saw this take place or saw a man matching this description running away.”
