Masked Thieves Raid Southampton Pub in Dead of Night
Masked robbers struck the Malvern pub on Winchester Road, Southampton, late on Friday night. Police were called just after 11:45pm following the shocking break-in.
Three Robbers Target Staff and Customers
At around 11:30pm, three people dressed in dark clothes and with faces covered tried to force a rear door while staff were locking up. They then threatened staff and customers and made off with cash. Thankfully, no one was injured during the ordeal.
Police Hunt for Suspects and Vehicle
Detective Inspector Luke Aslam urged locals to come forward with information. He said: “This is a rare occurrence and I’m keen to hear from anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area between 10:30pm and midnight.”
The trio fled on foot but may have used a vehicle parked nearby. Possible vehicle locations include Malvern Road, Seymour Road, Fuchsia Gardens, Arlowe Drive, or Winchester Road.
