Isle of Wight cops launch dramatic raid in Shanklin street bust
Police stormed a property on Palmerston Road in Shanklin last night, sending shockwaves through the neighbourhood. Four police vehicles screeched up just before 7pm, sparking chaos among stunned residents.
Break-in with door enforcer
An anonymous local revealed the force wasn’t messing about. “They had a door enforcer and went down a side alley into the flats,” he said. A second neighbour added that police have been circling the area since a recent brawl at the Falcon pub, apparently hunting for a suspect. Cops are still firmly entrenched in the area tonight.
Crowbar in hand and a man in custody
Officers were spotted leaving the shiny new flats block wielding a crowbar. Meanwhile, a man was taken away with police, raising plenty of eyebrows on the street.
Unlucky driver caught out
As if that wasn’t enough drama, one resident arrived home to find his car seized by armed police. The vehicle was untaxed and parked recklessly, making it an easy target for the roads policing unit.
The Palmerston Road neighbourhood remains a buzzing hive of police activity as the investigation unfolds.
