Delivery Driver Brutally Attacked in Oxford City Centre
Thames Valley Police have released a photo of a man they want to quiz over a vicious assault in Oxford. The victim, a food delivery rider, suffered a broken hip after being thrown from his bike in Cornmarket Street.
Serious Injury Leaves Victim Unable to Work
The attack happened around 5:30pm on Monday, 17 March 2025. Police say the suspect grabbed the delivery rider’s bag, yanked him off the bike, and caused him to crash hard onto the pavement.
The rider’s injury is severe — a broken hip that has left him unable to work, hitting him and his family hard financially.
Police Hunt Man Seen on Busy Oxford Shopping Street
“This was a GBH-level assault where a man has sustained a serious and debilitating injury to his hip which has meant he is unable to work and his family impacted financially,” said PC Edward Lee from Oxford Police Station.
“We are now releasing an image of a man who we believe may have vital information that could help with this investigation. If this person is you, or you know who he is, please contact Thames Valley Police.”
