Car Stolen in Chatham – Suspect Caught Within 25 Minutes!
A car was reportedly snatched outside a home on the White Road estate in Chatham at 10.25pm on Saturday, 22 January 2021. But police wasted no time.
Quick Arrest in Chelmar Road
By 10.50pm, officers had tracked down the stolen vehicle on Chelmar Road. A 26-year-old man from Gillingham was arrested on suspicion of burglary and theft of a motor vehicle.
Second Suspect on the Run
The catch wasn’t complete — a second man fled the scene. Police are actively searching to identify and trace him.
Stolen Car Returned to Owner
Good news for the victim: the vehicle has since been returned to its rightful owner. Meanwhile, the arrested man remains in custody as enquiries continue.
