Three Liverpool Teens Sought Over £100k Bus Blaze
Police have released CCTV images of three teenage boys in Liverpool City Centre as part of a probe into a deliberate bus fire.
Deliberate Fire Causes Chaos on Lime Street
The blaze broke out on Friday, 25 August at around 6:30pm on Lime Street. Officers arrived to find the bus ablaze and quickly called in the Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service to douse the flames. The fire caused over £100,000 in damage and forced hours of road closures in the busy city centre.
Inspector Warns of Reckless Danger to Passengers
Local Policing Inspector Jack Woodward slammed the “reckless” attack, pointing out the bus was packed with passengers at the time. He said: “Targeting public transport like this is completely unacceptable.”
Police Appeal for Witnesses and Snappers
Police are eager to question the three teenagers spotted on CCTV nearby, believing they may hold vital clues. Anyone who recognises them or has information is urged to come forward.
