Teen Murdered Near The Peterboat Pub in Old Leigh
An 18-year-old local man was fatally stabbed in a grim attack near The Peterboat pub on High Street, Old Leigh, last Friday evening. The victim was found in an alleyway around 6pm and rushed to hospital by two bystanders but tragically died shortly after.
Single Stab Wound to the Heart
A post mortem revealed the cause of death was a single, fatal stab wound to the heart. Police have launched a murder investigation and are treating the attack as targeted, not random.
Police Hunt 17-Year-Old Alfie Pollard
Detectives urgently want to speak to Alfie Pollard, 17, who has ties to Leigh-on-Sea and Southend. Detective Chief Inspector Stuart Truss said:
“We urgently need to speak to Alfie Pollard in connection with our investigation.”
“I strongly urge him, or anyone who knows where he is, to contact the police immediately.”
“Anyone assisting those involved in this violent crime will face a thorough investigation and possible prosecution.”
