Man Hospitalised After Noxious Liquid Thrown at Him on Streatham High Road

A man was rushed to hospital after a noxious substance was hurled over him on Streatham High Road, SW16, yesterday afternoon.

Police Investigate Mystery Substance

Met Police were called to the scene around 2:30pm. Officers are currently awaiting test results to determine exactly what was thrown in the shocking attack.

No Arrests Yet as Stop & Search Powers Enforced

So far, no arrests have been made. However, Lambeth police have imposed a Section 60 Stop & Search across parts of the borough. This emergency measure will remain in place until 7am tomorrow, following intelligence suggesting a risk of serious violence.
