An internal investigation is underway and police have been informed after a student launched a vicious attack on a teacher at Bromley College in South East London.

Disturbing footage obtained by UKNIP shows the student grabbing the teacher by the neck and trying to drag him into a headlock as they walk out of a classroom. The confrontation escalates into a full-on fight in the corridor, with both tumbling to the floor in a savage scuffle.

Viral video shocks social media

The January 2023 incident remains viral months later, racking up over 270,000 views on Twitter. The clip captures the teacher eventually pinning the student down after they tumble out of the classroom, but the spat doesn’t end there — they get back up and continue arguing as bystanders shout warnings like “leave it” and “don’t get sacked over it.”

The video was posted with the caption “Teacher 1, student 0” and appears to have originated from Snapchat.

College acts swiftly; student expelled

Bromley College has confirmed the student involved has been expelled following a thorough internal probe. A spokesperson from 1 South East Colleges insisted, “This was not a fight. Teachers are professionally trained to handle situations like this.”

They added: “The safety and safeguarding of all students is our priority. We do not accept violence. Immediate action was taken, and the police were contacted as soon as the incident occurred.”

The college is providing full support to the affected staff member.
