Five Men Hurt in Brutal Brawl on Purley High Street
A major police probe is underway after a violent fight left five men injured on Purley High Street late Thursday night (17 July).
Chaos Erupts Around 10.30pm
Emergency crews raced to the scene at 10.27pm after multiple calls reported a large-scale altercation. Officers from the Metropolitan Police and paramedics from the 1 Ambulance Service found five men badly hurt — three in their 20s and two in their 30s.
All victims suffered significant injuries and were treated on site before being rushed to hospital. Thankfully, police say their wounds are serious but not life-threatening or life-changing.
Weapons Seized, Crime Scene Secured
Officers quickly established a crime scene, closing the road overnight while forensic teams combed the area for evidence. Several weapons were recovered, though police have not disclosed what types.
No Arrests But Investigation Intensifies
The Met has launched a thorough investigation, chasing multiple leads. So far, no arrests have been made. Police are urging anyone who saw what happened or has information to come forward immediately.
