Kent Fire and Rescue Service has issued a public warning for residents and travellers near Crete Hall Road in Gravesend to keep windows and doors closed due to heavy smoke from a fire at a recycling facility.

At approximately 2:08 AM on Monday, 26 May 2025, emergency services were called to a significant fire at a recycling site in Gravesham, Kent.
