Shock in Wolverhampton: Man Found Dead at School with Injuries

Tragedy has struck Wolverhampton after Neil “Chuck” Thompson was discovered dead with unexplained injuries at Smestow Academy. Police have launched an urgent investigation into his mysterious death.

Family’s Heartbreaking Tribute to “Chuck”

Neil’s family have spoken out, mourning their beloved son, brother, and father. Known as “Chuck,” he was cherished in the local fishing community—his one true passion.

“His love for life and funny stories touched the lives of so many people,” the family said. “To help us find closure as a family we urge anyone with any information or sightings to please get in touch.”

Police Launch Manhunt for Answers

West Midlands Police are treating Neil’s death as unexplained. Officers are combing CCTV footage and knocking on doors near the school on Windmill Crescent.

Superintendent Martin Hurcomb said: “Our teams are continuing to investigate the circumstances around this tragic incident and are supporting Mr Thompson’s family. We urge anyone who saw him in the early hours to come forward.”

Neil was last seen on Wheatsheaf Road at 1am and again at Smestow Academy at 7:15am on Monday. He wore a camouflage jacket, grey gilet, jeans, a beanie, and carried a red rucksack. He may have also had sunglasses on.
