Beloved Suffolk Grandmother Dies After Brutal Morning Attack
Tragedy struck Suffolk as Anita Rose, a devoted mother of six and grandmother to thirteen, has died from injuries suffered in a shocking attempted murder. The attack happened on July 24, and despite critical care at Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge, she passed away on Sunday, July 28.
Early Morning Assault Shocks Quiet Brantham
The horrifying incident unfolded in the early hours when Anita left her home for her usual morning walk with her beloved springer spaniel, Bruce. Around 6:25 AM, a passerby found her unconscious on a remote track near the sewage works and railway line off Rectory Lane in Brantham.
Emergency services rushed to the scene and transported Anita to hospital, but sadly, she never regained consciousness.
Community in Mourning as Police Hunt Attacker
The local community is devastated by the loss of Anita, a cherished and well-known figure in the area. Suffolk Police have launched a full investigation to uncover what led to this brutal attack.
So far, no arrests have been made. Officers are urgently appealing for witnesses to come forward. They want to speak to anyone who was near Rectory Lane on the morning of July 24 or who noticed anything unusual.
