A woman has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a terrifying crash in Cleethorpes.

Jeep Mounts Pavement, Strikes Pedestrians

Chaos erupted on St Peter’s Avenue just after 7pm on Tuesday, 9 December, when a white Jeep smashed onto the pavement, hitting several pedestrians. The vehicle even collided with a woman using a mobility scooter.

Fortunately, the victims escaped with only minor injuries and received treatment at the scene.

26-Year-Old Woman Held as Police Investigate

Police have arrested a 26-year-old woman, charging her with attempted murder. She remains in custody while officers probe the incident.

Detective Inspector Tom Kelly told locals:“We understand concerns around this incident. Early investigations suggest some involved parties may know each other.”

Police Hunt for Witnesses and CCTV Footage

Officers are reviewing CCTV and speaking to witnesses and nearby businesses. They urge anyone with dashcam or video footage, or who saw what happened, to get in touch.
