Kent Police Crack Down on Anti-Social Behaviour

Kent Police took swift action following residents’ complaints about anti-social behaviour and drug use in Canterbury. Officers from the Community Policing Team executed a search warrant at a Roper Road home on the morning of Friday, 24 May 2019.

Class A Drugs Seized in Early Morning Raid

A round-the-clock search under the Misuse of Drugs Act uncovered suspected class A drugs at the property around 11:30am. Two suspects were promptly arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply.

Suspects Include Woman and Teenage Boy

  • A 56-year-old woman from Canterbury
  • A 17-year-old boy

Police Promise Continued Action Against Dealers

“This is just one of the ways in which we proactively tackle drug-dealing in the county,” said Sergeant Richard Lorimer. “I hope it will reassure local residents that we will respond to people’s concerns and target those who are intent on breaking the law.”
