Driver Bashes Cyclist with Metal Pole in Shocking Road Rage Attack
At 4.50pm on Tuesday, police rushed to Paddockhurst Road, Turners Hill after a violent clash between a car driver and a cyclist.
Black Mercedes Driver Blows Past Cyclist – Then Strikes
The drama unfolded when the driver of a black Mercedes overtook a man in his 40s on a bike. Moments later, the driver allegedly jumped out and attacked the cyclist with what’s believed to be a metal pole.
The cyclist suffered serious head injuries and was rushed to Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton.
Swift Arrest as Police Crack Down
Police acted fast, arresting a 28-year-old man from East Grinstead on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent. He remains in custody as inquiries continue.
Witnesses Urgently Needed
“This is a fast-moving investigation with officers able to make a swift arrest,” said Detective Inspector Jon Robeson.
“The victim has suffered significant head injuries and is currently receiving medical treatment.”
