Murder Probe Launched After Woman, 60, Found Dead in Dosthill
A murder investigation is underway following the death of a 60-year-old woman in Dosthill in the early hours of Monday, 23 June.
Woman Found Dead at Home – Man, 65, Arrested
Warwickshire Police were called to a property on Ascot Drive at around 1:30am, where the woman was found deceased inside the house. A 65-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder at the scene and remains in custody.
Victim and Suspect Known to Each Other
Detective Sergeant Jenny Baker of the Major Investigations team said: “This is currently being treated as an isolated incident, and the victim and suspect were believed to be known to each other.”
The woman’s next of kin have been informed, with specially trained officers providing support to the grieving family.
Police Maintain Scene Guard and Boost Patrols
A scene guard remains on Ascot Drive, and residents can expect an increased police presence while detectives carry on with their enquiries.
DS Baker added: “Our thoughts are very much with the woman’s family, who are currently being supported by our specialist officers.”
