Tragic Crash Claims Life of 17-Year-Old in Merseyside
Fatal Collision on Woodchurch Estate
A 17-year-old boy has died following a grim scrambler and electric bike crash in Merseyside’s Woodchurch estate. Spencer Crofts lost his life after the collision on Saturday evening.
The smash happened around 6:25 PM at the junction of Hoole Road and Grass Wood Road, according to police reports.
Emergency Response and Victims’ Condition
First responders rushed to the scene, performing CPR on both Spencer and the 18-year-old Suron electric bike rider. Sadly, Spencer was confirmed dead at the site despite desperate attempts to save him.
The other rider remains in hospital in critical condition with multiple injuries.
Family Pays Heartfelt Tribute
“He was a loyalist, genuine lad, with the biggest heart,” the family said. “Spencer was always smiling and lived life to the full.”
The family’s statement reflects the deep sorrow over the sudden loss of their beloved son and brother.
Police Appeal for Witnesses
Chief Inspector Charlotte Irlam is leading the probe and has called on witnesses — especially young people nearby at the time — to come forward.
She stressed the need for information to help the grieving families understand what happened.
